April 14: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On April 13, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 89 new cases of confirmed infections (86 imported cases and 3 indigenous cases in Guangdong province), 3 new cases of suspected infections (all are imported cases, 2 in Shanghai municipality and 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region), and no deaths. 75 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 1,674 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 5.
As of 24:00 on April 13, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps had reported 1,464 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 559 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 905 confirmed cases (including 37 in serious condition) and 72 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on April 13, the National Health Commission had received 82,249 reports of confirmed cases and 3,341 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and in all 77,738 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 1,170 confirmed cases (including 116 in serious condition) and 72 suspected cases. So far, 720,544 people have been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 8,612 are now under medical observation.
On April 13, Hubei province reported no new cases of confirmed infections, no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 25 patients (all in Wuhan) were released from hospital after being cured.
As of 24:00 on April 13, Hubei had reported 67,803 cases of confirmed infections (including 50,008 in Wuhan) and 3,221 deaths (including 2,579 in Wuhan). In all, 64,363 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital, including 47,211 in Wuhan. There still remained 219 confirmed cases (including 218 in Wuhan), with 69 in serious condition (including 68 in Wuhan). There were no suspected cases.
On April 13, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 54 new asymptomatic cases (including 5 imported cases). 46 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 9 imported cases) and 67 became confirmed cases (including 66 imported cases). As of 24:00 on April 13, 1,005 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 237 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on April 13, 1,447 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 1,009 in Hong Kong (4 had been dead and 397 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 45 in Macao (13 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 393 in Taiwan (6 had been dead and 114 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
