In recent years, Tian'e county of Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has strived to promote development of its green ecological industry and build an eco-industrial system based on eco-agriculture, eco-industry, and eco-tourism to help the county improve its economy.
Relying on its unique geographical environment and climate, the county has promoted the development of modern characteristic agricultural demonstration zones, cultivated and introduced new types of agricultural business entities, as well as vigorously developed advantageous special industries, such as fruit, Chinese herbal medicine, oil tea, and ecological breeding. To date, it has built six autonomous region-level modern agricultural demonstration zones, five county-level demonstration zones, and 21 township-level demonstration parks.
Great efforts have been made in project construction, park construction, and investment attraction of industries like new energy, bamboo and wood processing, calcium carbonate deep processing, green fruit and vegetables, fungi, special poultry, as well as meat processing industries. Various preferential policies have been implemented to introduce a group of enterprises and projects engaged in ecological and environmental protection, as well as circular economy. To date, the county has 11 industrial enterprises above designated size and eight leading agricultural enterprises. In 2020, the county has initially planned 25 major projects.
Known as "China's longevity hometown," Tian'e has focused on developing eco-tourism. In 2020, the county will launch a number of tourism routes integrating folk culture, canyons and lakes, forests, characteristic agriculture, as well as other resources. In addition, it will conduct tourism infrastructure construction projects, such as scenic villages, tourism roads, tourist public toilets, parking lots, and tourist distribution centers, as well as enhance tourist reception services. At present, there are 32 scenic spots and scenic spots in the county.
