Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, one of the major airports in China, received two foreign military aircrafts for transporting novel coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic prevention and control supplies on April 8.

Iraq sent a military chartered C130 cargo aircraft to Guangzhou to take 760 pieces of cargo weighing 7,039 kilograms, while the military chartered C17 cargo aircraft sent by Kuwait was expected to be loaded with 8,182 pieces of cargo weighing 31,996 kg.

All of the cargo consisted of medical supplies, including masks and ventilators.

Detailed plans had been made by Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport when receiving the aircrafts, such as arranging relatively independent runways and designing the best taxi circuits for them to minimize their impact on the normal operation of other flights at the airport.
