Liangjiang New Area, a national mass entrepreneurship and innovation demonstration base in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality, ranked first according to a third party evaluation result released recently.
The evaluation covered 120 national mass entrepreneurship and innovation demonstration bases, taking government functions, policy implementation, business environment, and culture construction into consideration.
Since being approved as national mass entrepreneurship and innovation demonstration base in 2016, Liangjiang has entrepreneurship and innovation forms with regional characteristics, which have become important carriers to promote the deepening of reform and stable economic growth.
The cluster registration system first promoted in Lianjiang has become one of the key experiences popularized nationwide. The system, which aims at scientific and creative companies, can realize company establishment without offices to reduce the enterprise registration cost.
By the end of 2019, about 2,000 companies from all over the world registered in Liangjiang through the system, with a registered employee number of over 6,000 and registered capital of 7 billion yuan ($994.97 million).
With the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, the system will take the opportunity and share experiences to create a first-class business environment in Chongqing and Chengdu.
In 2019, Liangjiang authorized over 2,800 patents, 2,200 of which are valid invention patents, accounting for 17 percent of the total authorized patents. The number of invention patents owned by 10,000 people is over 28, which is twice the city's average.
