Guiyang customs in Southwest China's Guizhou province launched six policies to support the development of China Railway Express on April 8.

The policies support the construction of a hub at Gaimao Railway Station in Guiyang, which will be connected with the New Land-Sea Corridor and the international combined transportation corridor of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Gaimao Railway Station will establish a bonded area according to demand, and use the advantages of the bonded area to develop China Railway Express businesses.

Guizhou will cooperate with China Railway and the General Administration of Customs to operate international freight trains at Gaimao Railway Station to Europe and other countries involved in the BRI.

Guiyang customs will support Gaimao Railway Station in establishing a multimodal transportation center and a customs supervision center to develop multimodal transportation services, which will improve the efficiency of international logistics transportation and reduce costs.

Gaimao Railway Station can cooperate with logistics and freight forwarding companies to build a comprehensive service platform for multimodal transportation.

Guiyang customs encourages the construction of designated supervision areas for imported meat, fruit, and aquatic products. It will also conduct statistical analysis of foreign trade data to provide references for government's targeted investment promotion and port economy plan.

Guiyang customs will enhance supervision and instruction in technical trade for companies trading with European countries or countries involving in the BRI, which will help to break technical trade barriers, explore international markets, and improve competitiveness.

Guiyang customs also encourages more companies to become an authorized economic operator (AEO). It will also enhance communication with government departments and companies to accelerate the construction of international logistics channels in Guizhou.
