Five nurses from the First Hospital of Jilin University -- Liu Xinmin, Dai Shuang, Lyu Xue, Wen Xin, and Li Tingting -- on April 6 returned from Wuhan, capital of Central China’s Hubei province and a city previously hard-hit by the novel coronavirus outbreak, local officials said.
They were sent to Wuhan on Jan 30 and during the 68 days of assistance in the city they nursed more than 1,500 patients, including 692 critical patients.
They offered assistance at Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital, which is a major medical facility in Wuhan treating coronavirus cases.
In addition to medical treatment, they also offered life care and psychological counseling to patients.
