Southwest China's Guizhou province recently launched a rural tourism revitalization activity in Meitan county, Zunyi on April 1.
During the launch ceremony, 10 rural tourism routes were released, covering the scenic spots in Zunyi, Liupanshui, Anshun, Tongren, Bijie, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture, Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, as well as Guian New Area.
As the first province in China to develop provincial standards for rural tourism villages, inns, and farmhouse resorts, Guizhou now has over 2,000 qualified operating villages, inns, and farmhouse resorts.
In 2019, Guizhou had 12 villages selected as national key rural tourism villages, ranking third nationwide.
Representatives of 61 provincial key rural tourism villages and 101 first-class rural tourism villages, inns, and farmhouse resorts were awarded at the launching ceremony.
On the same day, the Guizhou Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism signed an agreement with Agricultural Bank of China's Guizhou branch and the China Tourism Association to cooperate on poverty alleviation and financing, as well as the development of Guizhou's homestay industry.
