Qingdao Liuting International Airport has beefed up preventative measures amid the increasing number of imported novel coronavirus cases.

Since March 23, the airport has been handling rerouted inbound flights from Beijing Capital International Airport. Passengers must be tested for the virus as they disembark the plane. Those who pass the inspection will be allowed to re-board the aircraft and fly to the capital.

Passengers who fail to pass the health inspection must stay in the city for a 14-day quarantine period.

In order to keep inbound passengers safe and improve customs clearance efficiency, the airport has teamed with multiple departments and developed an effective preventative system, as imported cases are the current focus of the city's prevention and control efforts.

In light of the current situation overseas, all inbound travelers are required to truthfully report information such as contacts, destination, and personal contact information.

Entry will be denied to those who do not meet the requirements, fail to truthfully fill in their health declaration forms, or fail to honestly answer inquiries from border authorities.
