Charter flight ships anti-epidemic materials to Europe

Flight V88107 departed from Xi'an Xianyang International Airport, bound for Leipzig, Germany on March 30, loaded with 20.1 metric tons of anti-epidemic materials, according to airport officials.

They said this was the first cargo charter flight carrying anti-epidemic materials to Europe from the airport, since the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak.

The medical materials included more than 2.08 million pairs of medical gloves and 30,870 sets of protective clothing, worth 200 million yuan ($28.22 million).

Subsequently, the charter flight will continue to operate more than 10 times to transport over 300 tons of anti-epidemic materials such as masks, protective clothing and respirators to Europe.

At present, Xi'an Xianyang International Airport has resumed 15 cargo routes and has transported more than 600 tons of epidemic prevention and control materials for 32 companies.
