Three Shaanxi medical teams arrived at Xi'an Xianyang International Airport on March 31, outside Xi'an, capital city of Northwest China's Shaanxi province.
The 284 team members were sent out to help prevent and control the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic in Central China's Hubei province in early February.
The medical teams are from the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University and Shaanxi Procincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
During over 50 days in Wuhan, the medical team from the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University treated 126 patients after it took over the seventh and eighth wards of the Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University on Feb 9, curing 96 patients who were then discharged from the hospital.
Officials said that under epidemic prevention and control measures, the 284 medical workers will be quarantined at designated places for 14 days after arrival.
