An online promotional event was held in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, on April 3, as the city's Gusu district seeks to attract investment to develop its night economy and improve its night tours.
During the event, Gusu district introduced many night tour programs via a video conference. The tours include exploring the city's historical blocks from a boat, watching traditional opera performances at classical gardens, tasting local delicacies, and shopping after dark.
Twenty enterprises signed agreements during the event, while Juneyao Ruyi Culture Development Co and Leyard Optoelectronic, among others expressed an intent to cooperate.
The current programs are mainly focused on the city's most famous attractions, including Guanqian Street and Pingjiang Road Historical Block. Pingjiang Road, which boasts well-preserved water town, attracts over 6 million tourists every year due to its creative shops and internet-famous sites.
Gusu district has also advertised on social media platforms such as Douyin and Weibo, showcasing its healthy environment and favorable policies for developing night tours, and has attracted much attention both inside China and abroad.
