To help France in its fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic, Southwest China's Guizhou province donated a batch of traditional Chinese medicine to Grand Est, France on March 24.
The medicine, worth about 188,000 yuan ($26,465.90), was produced by Sinopharm Group Tongjitang (Guizhou) Pharmaceuticals Co, developed by experts from the Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and approved by the Guizhou Medical Products Administration.
Since the outbreak of the virus, Guizhou has adopted a treatment that combines traditional Chinese and western medicine, which has significant effects on treating pneumonia. Guizhou wishes to share the experiences of the treatment with France, and help French people fight the virus, said Yu Hao, director of the Guizhou Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Representatives of France said that the donations will be tracked and delivered to people in need in the quickest time possible.
