Hohhot Metro Line 1 resumed operations on Feb 28, making life a whole lot easier for commuters in Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, according to a report in the Hohhot Daily.
The service's daily operating times are 7:00 hrs to 21:00 hrs, metro officials said.
According to Hohhot Rail Transport Co, due to the novel coronavirus outbreak, passengers must wear masks on metro trains and present valid ID cards or other valid documents to enter metro stations, as well as help staff take temperature readings.
Those who don't wear masks or cooperate on taking their temperature, or do not register under the real-name system, will be discouraged from entering the metro station.
Those with body temperature above 37.3C will be discouraged from entering the metro stations and reported to the local disease control center.
Passengers can now download the Qingcheng Metro app and register with real-name authentication. Passengers can open the app to enter a station and take a metro ride with a QR code generated by the app.
Passengers who do not take metro rides with the Qingcheng Metro app, need to scan the QR code at the gate for real-name registration before entering the station.
Passengers who do not use a mobile phone for real-name registration or are unable to scan codes with a mobile phone, can use valid ID cards or documentation for real-name registration with assistance provided by staff at the stations.
