Two novel coronavirus pneumonia patients have been cured in Hohhot city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region and were discharged from hospital on Feb 19-20, according to a report in the Hohhot Daily.
The release marked the first two discharged coronavirus patients in Hohhot, officials said.
After being discharged, a patient will still be observed for two weeks in isolation. The hospitals will follow up daily, to keep track of the patients' condition after discharge.
They will be asked to submit to further evaluation over the course of two weeks. The results of the examinations will then be followed up by an expert group from the autonomous region, to determine if the patients have completely recovered and can be released from quarantine.
As of 7 am on Feb 21, there were five existing coronavirus infections in Hohhot, with two located Yuquan district, one in Xincheng district, one in Saihan district and one in Huimin district.
