Three more bullet trains are to run on the Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-speed Railway starting on Jan 17, including trains linking Beijing with Hohhot, capital city of North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, according to local media reports.
The bullet trains will be in service until Jan 23.
Train G2412 departs Hohhot at 11:09 and arrives at Beijing North Railway Station at 14:01. Train G2425 leaves Beijing North Railway Station at 14:35 and reaches Hohhot East Railway Station at 17:13. Train G2432 starts at Hohhot East Railway Station at 17:49 and gets to Beijing North Railway Station at 20:38.
The Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-speed Railway started operation on Dec 30, 2019, along with the Zhangjiakou-Hohhot Railway.
With the launch of the two high-speed railways, Hohhot, Baotou and Ulaanqab in the autonomous region now have high-speed trains heading for Beijing. The journey between Hohhot and Beijing has been shortened from more than nine hours to two hours and 18 minutes.
