Tianjin Art Museum reopens to public

Tianjin Art Museum, a comprehensive collection of primarily near-modern and contemporary artists, reopened to the public yesterday after the outbreak of the novel coronavirus forced the museum to close for two months.

To visit Tianjin Art Museum, tourists need to make a real-name reservation online three days in advance, and there is a maximum of 2,000 people allowed to visit every day, according to the museum’s website.

The reservation QR code and a valid ID (original) are necessary for entering the museum.

The museum will not accept tour groups and no guide services will be provided other than automated services.

Visitors must wear masks and have their body temperature checked before entering the museum.

Sections open for visiting include: Exhibition of Emma`s Donated Works (first floor); Spring in the Sky: Inviting Exhibition of Chinese Ink and Wash Masters (second floor); A Workshop in the Year of 1921: Yichengyong’s New Year Pictures Documenta (third floor); Alfons Mucha:Pioneer of Art Nouveau (fourth floor).

Of these, Alfons Mucha:Pioneer of Art Nouveau will be extended to June 28 to meet public demand.

Tianjin Art Museum has made preferential arrangements for medical workers across the country, who can visit for free with valid cards.

The museum will open from 9:00 to 16:30 every day except for Mondays when it is closed.
