The World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies held a global live broadcast sharing experiences of fighting against COVID-19 with traditional Chinese medicine on Thursday.
The broadcast organized 20 member groups, embassies and hospitals in different countries or districts, with about 90,000 people in over 60 countries and districts watching. Zhang Boli, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and president of Tianjin University of TCM, was invited to share during the broadcast.
Zhang explained TCM concepts, pathogeny and clinical features of COVID-19, and how to combine traditional Chinese and Western medicine to overcome the virus. He also answered questions asked by members from Australia, France, Hungary, the US and Italy.
Ma Jianzhong, president of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, hoped global members actively promote TCM in the fight in each country under different laws and regulations, and encouraged sharing medical experiences and mutual help between countries.
