The Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention has recently released technical guidelines for the disinfection of special sites for the novel coronavirus disease, providing disinfection standards for objects, places, measures and methods due to timing.
Places where infected patients and asymptomatic individuals have stayed, such as homes and vehicles, should carry out concurrent disinfection and should receive a final disinfection after discharge or nucleic acid test results come out negative, according to the guidelines.
For hand and skin disinfection, an effective disinfectant such as povidone-iodine and hydrogen peroxide or other alcohol-based hand rubs should be used. For indoor air disinfection, one can choose disinfection sprays such as peracetic acid, chlorine dioxide and hydrogen peroxide.
