March 26: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On March 25, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 67 new cases of confirmed infections (all are imported cases), 58 new cases of suspected infections (all are imported cases), and 6 deaths. 401 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 721 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 164.
As of 24:00 on March 25, the National Health Commission had received 81,285 reports of confirmed cases and 3,287 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and in all 74,051 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 3,947 confirmed cases (including 1,235 in serious condition) and 159 suspected cases. So far, 695,305 people have been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 14,714 are now under medical observation.
On March 25, Hubei reported no new cases of confirmed infections, no new cases of suspected infections, and 6 deaths (5 in Wuhan). 391 patients were released from hospital after being cured, including 382 in Wuhan.
As of 24:00 on March 25, Hubei had reported 67,801 cases of confirmed infections (including 50,006 in Wuhan) and 3,169 deaths (including 2,531 in Wuhan). In all, 61,201 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital, including 44,068 in Wuhan. There still remained 3,431 confirmed cases (including 3,407 in Wuhan), with 1,201 in serious condition (including 1,195 in Wuhan). There were no suspected cases.
On March 25, the Chinese mainland reported 67 new imported confirmed cases from overseas (18 in Shanghai municipality, 12 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 11 in Guangdong province, 6 in Beijing municipality, 6 in Fujian province, 3 in Shaanxi province, 2 in Tianjin municipality, 2 in Zhejiang province, 2 in Jiangsu province, 2 in Yunnan province, 1 in Shanxi province, 1 in Jilin province, and 1 in Henan province). As of 24:00 on March 25, the Chinese mainland had reported 541 imported confirmed cases from overseas.
As of 24:00 on March 25, 675 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 410 in Hong Kong (4 had been dead and 106 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 30 in Macao (10 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 235 in Taiwan (2 had been dead and 29 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
