All coronavirus infections in Xi'an Chest Hospital cured

The last patient infected with the novel coronavirus pneumonia in Xi'an Chest Hospital was pronounced cured and discharged on March 1, according to hospital officials.

They said that as of now, all 33 patients infected with coronavirus in the hospital had been discharged, with no further confirmed cases.

The woman, surnamed Li and aged 36, was admitted to Xi'an Chest Hospital for an intermittent cough and fever on Feb 4. She was diagnosed as has having coronavirus following a positive nucleic acid test on Feb 10.

"I want to thank the medics for their meticulous care, giving me the confidence and strength to fight the disease, " she said.

After admission, she received comprehensive treatment such as anti-virus, anti-infection, immune support, heat-clearing and detoxifying and traditional Chinese medicine.

Nucleic acid tests were subsequently negative in both reviews, meeting the discharge standards for the virus. The patient was then released, after consultations with the provincial expert group.

On the same day of the release, the hospital's first medical team of 54 medics left the emergency ward and settled in a hotel for 14 days of quarantine medical observation, and 17 new medical team members entered the emergency ward, officials said.
