Recently, major parks and scenic spots in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province have begun opening to the public, as well as large commercial complexes, according to local officials.

At Qujiangchi Heritage Park, staff members wearing red armbands are currently patrolling back and forth. Officials said that although there were relatively many tourists, conditions remained orderly.

Previously, there were not many tourists due to novel coronavirus control measures, such as registrations, temperature measurements and restrictions on the numbers of people entering the park.

Officials added that after being fully opened, tourists can now come in and out freely and there are more tourists all at once.

After scanning "Xi'an Passcode" (一码通), tourists can enter the Daming Palace National Heritage Park. In the park, red plums are blooming beautifully and magnolias are in flower, attracting tourists to take photos.

At the Xi'an Xiaozhai SAGA International Shopping Mall, staff members at the entrance are on duty. Customers who enter the shopping mall must wear masks, register personal information or check the "Xi'an Passcode" and have their body temperatures measured.

Officials said it is recommended that all major parks, scenic spots and indoor public places should continue to take prevention and control measures, have increased inspections and remind tourists and customers not to over-gather at any time.

They added that it is also necessary to make emergency prevention and control plans, to respond to the incoming tourists.
