Loaded with clothing, electronic accessories, electrical appliances in 50 carriages, the X8025 China-Europe freight train departed from Xinzhu Railway Station in Xi'an, capital of northwestern China's Shaanxi province on March 11, bound for the city of Mannheim in Germany.
As of March 11, the China-Europe freight train (Xi'an) had made 405 trips, for a year-on-year increase of 104.1 percent and the number of carriages exceeded 10,000, according to China Railway Xi'an Group Co.
At present, the freight train service has operated on 13 international lines to Kazakhstan, Belgium, Germany and Poland, covering all the main supply destinations in Central Asia and Europe.
During the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic prevention and control period, China Railway Xi'an Group Co opened up fast track channels, utilizing its newly built logistics base to provide sufficient storage for the goods of returning trains.
In the year to date, the China-Europe freight train (Xi'an) has transported 372,000 metric tons of goods, 1.5 times that for the same period last year.
