The design and site selection for Xi'an public health center project has been finalized and will begin construction on Feb 3.
Covering an area of 500 mu (33.33 hectares) and located in the southeast of Gaoling district, the project has received investment from the municipal government, with design work carried out by China Northwest Architecture Design and Research Institute Co.
The project has been designed to be environmentally friendly, incorporating tourism and industry.
In line with the principles of long-term planning, the first-stage emergency isolation ward will provide around 500 beds, with the facility set to open in mid-February.
It will effectively improve the city's emergency response capabilities and play an important role in preventing disease, while promoting physical and mental health.
