According to the Guilin Health Committee, as of March 10, all 32 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the city were cured and discharged, and that there are currently no suspected cases.
At present, all the confirmed cases of seven cities in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region have been cleared, including those in Wuzhou, Baise, Hezhou, Guigang, Yulin, Qinzhou, and Guilin. The region has had no new confirmed cases for 15 consecutive days, no new suspected cases for 14 consecutive days, and no deaths for 27 consecutive days.
Guilin is a world famous scenic city. In order to fight against the epidemic, the city has taken many measures to promote the tourism industry. For example, various online platforms opened by the government has trained nearly 30,000 people in the tourism industry.

Since Feb 21, 82 A-level tourist attractions in Guilin have been reopened to visitors from low-risk areas at home and abroad. The city encourages scenic spots to implement restrictive measures, such as visitor registration and temperature detection, as well as regular disinfection. In addition, the sites have limited the number of daily visitors to less than 50 percent of the daily maximum carrying capacity. As of March 10, all scenic spots in Guilin have resumed work, and 47 A-level scenic spots have been reopened to the public.
According to the Guangxi Health Committee, as of March 10, Guangxi had reported a total of 252 confirmed cases, of which 237 were discharged and 13 cases were treated at hospitals. The 111 counties (cities and districts) in Guangxi are all designated as low-risk areas. Guangxi tourist areas are being opened in an orderly manner while the epidemic situation is being controlled.
