Sanyuesan, which refers to the 3rd day of the 3rd month in the Chinese Lunar Calendar, is a traditional festival for many ethnic groups across China.
The festival will be celebrated from March 26 to April 26 this year. A set of online activities focusing on culture, tourism, and consumption will be organized to create a warm and enthusiastic holiday atmosphere at the critical moment in the fight against the novel coronavirus epidemic.
A month long event on health culture promotion will be held, featuring a short video collection of epidemic prevention stories, an introduction to the free year-round policy of Guangxi's scenic areas for medical workers and families, as well as promotions of ethnic sports and easy-to-learn scientific fitness methods for people through online teaching.
Live-streaming activities will be carried out in 54 demonstration counties of e-commerce in the region to help sell agricultural products from poor areas. Online tours of health tourism and rural tourism will be promoted to inspire enthusiasm for travel after the epidemic. Activities like online intellectual games and showcases of Guangxi's ethnic clothing design will also be held.
In addition, on March 26, the day of the festival, a special carnival event will be officially launched and special programs will be broadcast on local TV stations and official websites of local news outlets.
A total of 21 major activities will be carried out at the autonomous region level, while various online activities will also be organized by the districts and cities in the region.
