The last novel coronavirus patient in Northeast China’s Jilin province was declared cured and discharged from hospital in Tonghua on March 15, bringing the current confirmed cases in Jilin province to zero, according to local reports.
Officials said that 92 of the total 93 confirmed cases in the province had been cured, while one patient died from the epidemic.
Since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pneumonia, the province has adopted a raft of measures to treat patients, establishing 66 medical treatment expert groups and a provincial diagnosis and treatment network.
Telemedicine and on-site instructions were combined to provide treatment programs for various patients. Traditional Chinese medicine was applied in the treatment of confirmed cases.
Officials said that the curing of patient had created favorable conditions for the resumption of work and economic growth in the province.
