Pang Long, 34, has have been working as a security guard for three years in Jinan, Shandong province.
Since the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic broke out, Pang has been responsible for community disease control and prevention efforts, including taking the temperatures of local residents.
For the 1,400 residents at Dongheyuan community, Pang has played an important role in keeping them health and safety.
"Each member of security staff will work 12 hours, including night shifts," Pang said.
Pang stands in front of the community gate for six hours each day and checks the temperature of anyone coming or leaving.
According to Pang, he takes more than 500 temperatures per day.
"There are more than 23,000 security guards like me at my company. I am proud to contribute to the fight against the virus," Peng added.
