The Qilu Europe-Asia train service is continuing to operate in Jinan, capital of eastern Shandong province.
Qilu Eurasian freight trains made a total of eight trips, with four inbound journeys and four outbound journeys from Jan 20 to Feb 17. The import and export value of goods carried on the trains was 100 million yuan ($14.49 million), according to official data.
To reduce the impact of the epidemic, Jinan customs has released 12 supporting measures including a reduction in taxes, streamlining of trade procedures, and extension of tax deadlines to help enterprises resume operations and foreign trade.
Jinan Europe-Asia freight trains made a total of 24 journeys, 11 outbound and 13 inbound, in January, up 84.6 percent from the same period last year.
Qilu Europe-Asia freight trains, operated by Shandong Hi-Speed Group, play an important role in international logistics and trade for the province and are accelerating the development of an export-oriented economy.
