A signing ceremony was held via video conference in the Jinan Innovation Zone on Feb 18 in an effort to maintain routine business operations despite the current outbreak.
Six projects, receiving a combined total of 6 billion yuan ($869.56 million) in investment, were inked during the conference.
Wang Hongzhi, director of the Jinan Innovation Zone, said at the conference that the area is ramping up efforts to help companies resume operations and production.
The video conference was meant to promote cooperation and maintain economic growth amid the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak.
The six projects signed at the ceremony focus on the emerging fields of electronic information, high-end equipment manufacturing, and biomedicine. They include a robot industrial park, an advanced technologies institute, and a geothermal energy project.
