With the help of big data and cloud technologies, work resumed on Jinan Metro Line 2 on Feb 9, said Wang Chenglin, a staff member at the project management center.
Railway No 10 Engineering Group, which is responsible for the construction of the line, is making use of remote intelligent collaborative management.
At present, data on more than 300 projects have been input into a big data system.
The system can help analyze engineering data and construction progress, give warnings, and share information.
"On the system display, we can check how each site is handling epidemic prevention and control. We can see if workers are wearing masks and if the sites are being disinfected," said Lu Dapeng, director of the project management center.
As of Feb 19, construction has resumed on a total of 317 projects being carried out by Railway No 10 Engineering Group and 4,194 managers and 6,241 rural migrant workers have returned to work.
The overall resumption rate reached 24 percent, far exceeding the current national average of about 15 percent in the industry.
