On March 14, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 20 new cases of confirmed infections, 39 new cases of suspected infections, and 10 deaths (all in Hubei province). 1,370 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 1,409 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 384.
As of 24:00 on March 14, the National Health Commission had received 80,844 reports of confirmed cases and 3,199 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and in all 66,911 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 10,734 confirmed cases (including 3,226 in serious condition) and 113 suspected cases. So far, 679,759 people have been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 10,189 are now under medical observation.
On March 14, Hubei reported 4 new cases of confirmed infections (all in Wuhan), 1 new case of suspected infections (in Wuhan), and 10 deaths (all in Wuhan). 1,335 patients were released from hospital after being cured, including 1,181 in Wuhan.
As of 24:00 on March 14, Hubei had reported 67,794 cases of confirmed infections (including 49,999 in Wuhan) and 3,085 deaths (including 2,456 in Wuhan). In all, 54,278 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital, including 37,632 in Wuhan. There still remained 10,431 confirmed cases (including 9,911 in Wuhan), with 3,163 in serious condition (including 3,058 in Wuhan), and 18 suspected cases (including 15 in Wuhan).
On March 14, the Chinese mainland reported 16 new imported confirmed cases from overseas (5 in Beijing municipality, 4 in Zhejiang province, 3 in Shanghai municipality, 3 in Gansu province, and 1 in Guangdong province). As of 24:00 on March 14, the Chinese mainland had reported 111 imported confirmed cases from overseas.
As of 24:00 on March 14, 204 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 141 in Hong Kong (4 had been dead and 81 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 10 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 53 in Taiwan (1 had been dead and 20 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
