On March 13, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 11 new cases of confirmed infections, 17 new cases of suspected infections, and 13 deaths (all in Hubei province). 1,430 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 2,174 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 410.
As of 24:00 on March 13, the National Health Commission had received 80,824 reports of confirmed cases and 3,189 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and in all 65,541 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 12,094 confirmed cases (including 3,610 in serious condition) and 115 suspected cases. So far, 678,935 people have been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 10,879 are now under medical observation.
On March 13, Hubei reported 4 new cases of confirmed infections (all in Wuhan), no new cases of suspected infections, and 13 deaths (including 10 in Wuhan). 1,390 patients were released from hospital after being cured, including 1,254 in Wuhan.
As of 24:00 on March 13, Hubei had reported 67,790 cases of confirmed infections (including 49,995 in Wuhan) and 3,075 deaths (including 2,446 in Wuhan). In all, 52,943 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital, including 36,451 in Wuhan. There still remained 11,772 confirmed cases (including 11,098 in Wuhan), with 3,543 in serious condition (including 3,410 in Wuhan), and 34 suspected cases (including 30 in Wuhan).
On March 13, the Chinese mainland reported 7 new imported confirmed cases from overseas (4 in Shanghai municipality, 2 in Gansu province, and 1 in Beijing municipality). As of 24:00 on March 13, the Chinese mainland had reported 95 imported confirmed cases from overseas.
As of 24:00 on March 13, 197 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 137 in Hong Kong (4 had been dead and 78 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 10 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 50 in Taiwan (1 had been dead and 20 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
