On March 10, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 24 new cases of confirmed infections, 31 new cases of suspected infections, and 22 deaths (all in Hubei province). 1,578 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 3,235 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 302.
As of 24:00 on March 10, the National Health Commission had received 80,778 reports of confirmed cases and 3,158 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and in all 61,475 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 16,145 confirmed cases (including 4,492 in serious condition) and 285 suspected cases. So far, 675,886 people have been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 14,607 are now under medical observation.
On March 10, Hubei reported 13 new cases of confirmed infections (all in Wuhan), 6 new cases of suspected infections (all in Wuhan), and 22 deaths (including 19 in Wuhan). 1,471 patients were released from hospital after being cured, including 1,212 in Wuhan.
As of 24:00 on March 10, Hubei had reported 67,773 cases of confirmed infections (including 49,978 in Wuhan) and 3,046 deaths (including 2,423 in Wuhan). In all, 49,056 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital, including 33,041 in Wuhan. There still remained 15,671 confirmed cases (including 14,514 in Wuhan), with 4,412 in serious condition (including 4,217 in Wuhan), and 198 suspected cases (including 192 in Wuhan).
On March 10, the Chinese mainland reported 10 new imported confirmed cases from overseas (6 in Beijing municipality, 2 in Shanghai municipality, 1 in Shandong province, and 1 in Gansu province). As of 24:00 on March 10, the Chinese mainland had reported 79 imported confirmed cases from overseas.
As of 24:00 on March 10, 177 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 120 in Hong Kong (3 had been dead and 65 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 10 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 47 in Taiwan (1 had been dead and 17 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
