A new customized bus route was opened for workers at Qingdao Software Park in Shinan district, Qingdao, Shandong province on March 3, relieving pressure on other city bus routes and reducing the risk of cross-infection.
The route takes around 50 minutes to complete and takes workers at seven designated stations to and from work every day.
Now that work has resumed at the software park, the most pressing problem for enterprises is the commuting security of their workers, according to an employee at the district's bus company.
After learning the home addresses and demands of workers, a route and customized stations were designed. The route has proved helpful in easing traffic congestion in the morning and evening.
The bus is disinfected every day. Workers have to register their information, have their temperatures taken and sit separately.
To date, four customized bus routes have been opened in the district. The district's bus company is expected to keep in close contact with local enterprises and has been asked to ensure traffic safety amid the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
