Beijing postpones international film festival

The 10th Beijing International Film Festival will be postponed until further notice, the festival's organizing committee announced on Sunday.

The annual festival, scheduled between April 19 and 26, will be deferred in consideration of the safety and health of all the guests, participants and the public, as well as to coordinate with the overall epidemic prevention work in the city, the committee said.

"We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the postponement of the event and we will announce the possible date of the festival as soon as possible," it added.
