BEIJING -- The Legislative Affairs Commission of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) on March 3 called for local legislations that fit the actual situations of corresponding places to curb the COVID-19.
Local-level legislatures should listen to the suggestions from professional personnel and the public to improve the quality of relating legislation, said the commission.
Noting that the NPC Standing Committee will revise laws relating to the prevention and control of COVID-19, the committee urged local legislatures to follow up and modify relevant local laws and regulations promptly for better legal guarantee of public health.
