Following efforts by the Hechi authorities to strike a balance between fighting the novel coronavirus epidemic and reviving the economy, more than 90 percent of the city's industrial enterprises above designated size had restarted their operations by Feb 28.
An enterprise above designated size refers to one with annual sales revenue of more than 20 million yuan ($2.85 million).
Among all the 221 enterprises above designated size in Hechi, 199 had resumed their work by Feb 28, with 26,400 workers having returned to work.
Of the 88 enterprises in the service industry above designated size in Hechi, 78 had restarted their operations as of Feb 28, with a return-to-work rate of 88.6 percent.
A total of 60 out of the 66 leading agricultural enterprises in the city had resumed their work by Feb 28, with a work resumption rate of over 90.9 percent, while 91.4 percent of the transportation enterprises in Hechi had also returned to work.
Of the 125 real estate enterprises in the city, 91 had returned to work by Feb 28, with a recovery rate of 72.8 percent.
There are currently 391 construction projects in Hechi, and 312 had restarted their construction by Feb 28 after the Spring Festival and the epidemic control period, with a work resumption rate of 79.8 percent.
Almost all the 48 major projects at the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region level which are under construction had restarted their work as of Feb 28, while 177 out of the 200 major projects under construction at the city level had resumed work, with a return-to-work rate of 88.5 percent.
