Baotou issues measures ensuring work, output resumption

The Product Quality Measurement Testing Institute of Baotou in the city of Baotou in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region has launched eight measures -- to ensure the return to work and production by medium, small and micro-sized enterprises, according to a Feb 26 report in the Baotou Daily.

The measures are as follows:

1. Provide free testing services.

Free medical examinations will be carried out on medical thermometers such as infrared temperature screeners, multi-parameter monitors, CAT scan equipment that are used directly by medical institutions in Baotou city for epidemic prevention and control, as well as on disinfection products such as ethyl alcohol disinfectants and chlorine disinfectants produced by related enterprises.

2. Help enterprises with work and production resumption.

All measuring instruments required for the resumption of production of small, medium and micro-sized enterprises in Baotou will be freely verified. Calibration and inspection and testing services are only charged at cost. The institute will provide periodic free testing of construction materials for key projects throughout the city and periodic free inspections of the city's key grain and oil guarantee production enterprises.

3. Provide technical services for government departments at all levels to strengthen epidemic prevention and control.

The institute will provide technical inspection services for hygienic indicators and for indoor environmental quality of public places such as hotels, shopping malls, theaters, gyms, exhibition halls and libraries. It will provide technical testing services for turbidity, pH, free residual chlorine, total number of colonies and coliforms of swimming pool water.

4. Open fast track channels for inspection services.

The institute will open a fast track channel for inspection and testing to help a company's resumption of work and production. It will provide acceptance specialists, simplify the commissioning process, improve work efficiency and ensure that inspection and testing tasks are completed in the shortest period. For inspection and testing beyond the scope of the institute, the institute will provide free submission and delivery services.
