The city of Baotou in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Feb 25 launched special buses for migrant workers -- as part of its efforts to ensure the back to work of employees and companies, according to local media reports.
The buses were co-booked by the Baotou Public Transport Group and the city's employment bureau.
The special buses pick up migrant workers at Baotou Railway Station and send them to enterprises or dormitories, to effectively stop the risk of the novel coronavirus epidemic spreading.
According to Baotou Public Transport Group officials, the buses are cleaned and disinfected regularly, especially seats, armrests and floors.
Staff check the conditions of the buses on a regular basis to ensure the safety of passengers and drivers.
The company said it has carried out pre-job training for drivers on personal protection measures and it also requires drivers to take boy temperature measurements and wear masks.
