According to local media reports on Feb 3, at present the status of flight operations at Ordos International Airport in Ordos -- a city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region -- basically remains normal, except for some international flights and some domestic flights which are currently out of service.
Airport officials said there has been no notice to cancel flights scheduled to depart on or before Feb 8.
They said, however, it should be noted that buses from Baotou, Dongsheng district, Kangbashi district and Ejin Horoo Banner to and from the airport – as well as the bus lines 1, 2 and 3 to the airport from the urban areas -- are all suspended at present.
In addition, seeing off guests is now forbidden at the airport. Also, passengers entering the airport must wear masks and visitors are not allowed to enter the airport without masks.
Officials said there are staff stationed at the airport entrance, security gate and boarding gate who carry out temperature testing on every passenger. Only passengers with a normal body temperature taken during three measurements can board the plane.
In addition, in order to prevent the spread of the epidemic, all the catering stalls on the fourth floor of the airport are closed and the VIP hall has been closed.
Officials said the guest service hall on the third floor is open for business.
