Two novel coronavirus infected pneumonia patients on Feb 5 were respectively discharged from hospitals in Otog Front Banner and Dongsheng district in Ordos, a city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, hospital officials said.
According to local media reports, the two were Ordos' first patients to recover and were two of the four that have recovered in the autonomous region.
Following treatment by an expert group and medical staff, the clinical symptoms of the patients disappeared, and the results of their nucleic acid tests proved negative.
According to the confirmation by the expert group, the two met the conditions for lifting their isolation standard.
Hospital officials said the recovered patients will now isolate themselves at home for 14 days' observation after being discharged.
