Expressways
The Jinghu expressway (Beijing-Shanghai expressway), known as G2, is the first complete national major trunk higway on the Chinese mainland, which links Beijing with the mainland's largest city Shanghai by way of Tianjin municipality, Hebei, Shandong, and Jiangsu provinces. It extends 1,262 kilometers in length.
The G25 expressway, or Changchun-Shenzhen expressway, at a total length of 3,585 kilometers when all the sections are completed, is an important north-south bound highway for East China's coastal cities that connects provinces and cities of Jilin, Liaoning, Hebei, Tianjin, Shandong, Anhui, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, and Guangdong.
The G42 expressway, or the Shanghai-Chengdu expressway, commonly referred to the Hurong expressway. It is an east-west bound expressway that passes through six provinces such as Jiangshu, Anhui, Hubei, Sichuan and 20 cities. It spans 1,966 kilometers in length.
The S19 expressway, or Nantong – Wuxi expressway, is a 108-kilometer provincial expressway within Jiangsu province, which starts from the Nanquan toll station on Zhihu Avenue in Wuxi and extends to Shenyang-Haikou expressway.
The S38 expressway starts from Changzhou in Jiangsu province and extends to Jiangyin, Zhangjiagang, Taicang, and Shanghai's A5 expressway in the east.
The S48 expressway, or Shanghai-Yixing expressway, is a provincial expressway that links Shanghai with a group of cities in Jiangsu provinces, such as Taicang, Kunshan, Suzhou. It ends at Xiwu traffic hub in Yixing.
The Wuxi section of the S83 expressway, or Suzhou-Wuxi expressway, is 10.15 kilometers long. It connects Suzhou's Round-city Expressway with Wuxi's Round-Taihu Lake Expressway and is an important part of the Shanghai-Nanjing expressway.
Xicheng expressway, or Wuxi –Jiangyin expressway is a collinear part of the main trunk of Beijing-Shanghai expressway, which starts from Yangtze River Highway Bridge in Jiangyin in the north and passes through Jiangyin and Huishan district's cities and towns in Wuxi, and extends to Shanghai – Nanjing expressway in the south. It is 34.98 kilometers and a main trunk line for Wuxi to connect with the riverside areas in the north.
The Circum-Taihu Lake Expressway, 19.36 kilometers long, is an important part of the Wuxi-Nantong expressway in the planning of highway network of Jiangsu province.
