Train K4082 carrying migrant workers left Nehe Railway Station in Northeast China's Heilongjiang province for Zhuanghe in Liaoning province at 7 am on Friday.

The chartered train departed from Heilongjiang and will pass through seven major labor export regions in the northeastern provinces of Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning. This is the first chartered train after the Lunar New Year holiday, which was extended due to the novel coronavirus pneumonia (NCP) outbreak.

While trying to resume work more than 30 seafood product enterprises in Zhuanghe faced labor shortages.

To help workers return to their jobs, China Railway Harbin Group has worked with related departments in Zhuanghe and governments of major labor export regions to organize the special train from Nehe to Zhuanghe.

To ensure passengers health and safety, railway workers have conducted disinfection operations in waiting halls, platforms and train carriages in advance.

After temperature monitoring and safety inspections, migrant workers can board trains directly, led by railway workers, to avoid unnecessary contact with crowds.

Several boxes containing anti-epidemic materials have been placed on the special train.

All passengers sit in separate seats and meals will be sent directly to their seats.

"Thanks to the government and the railway group, we can resume our business on schedule," said Xing Shiqiang, president of Dalian Shenghui Food Co Ltd. "And the workers can start to earn money."

According to Harbin Group, more than 600 migrant workers will arrive at Zhuanghe early Saturday.
