The Jilin Association of Chinese Medicine, SinoMed Peptide Valley, the Health Industry Association of Jilin and Changchun University of Chinese Medicine, jointly donated ginseng peptide valued at 1.02 million yuan ($145,268) to medical teams from Jilin province now assisting in central Hubei province in the fight against the novel coronavirus, according to local reports.
Officials said that ginseng peptide is of high nutritional value and will help the Jilin medical workers to improve their immunity and stay healthy.
The ginseng peptide was transported from Fusong, which is hailed as the hometown of ginseng, to Changchun on Feb 2 and then on to Wuhan.
Officials said that to date, Jilin province has sent more than 1,000 medical workers to help Wuhan, in 11 teams.
