Interprovincial shuttle buses in Zhejiang province resumed service on Feb 27, and are now traveling to and from places with medium to low risks of infection, according to the provincial transportation department.

To ensure safety, local authorities are requiring passengers to show their health codes or health certificates and have their temperatures taken before boarding buses. Those whose temperatures are over 37.3 degrees Celsius, who have red or yellow health codes, or who have no health certificates will not be allowed to board the bus.

Before departure, the bus driver's information, bus number, passenger IDs, and passenger mobile numbers will be submitted to the online ticketing system of Zhejiang for record.

When the bus arrives at its destination, the station will check said information, as well as passengers' health codes or health certificates.

Each bus will be disinfected before operation, and air conditioning will be avoided. Drivers must have green health codes, and wear a face mask and gloves while driving. He/she should also have their temperatures taken before departure and upon return.

Buses passing near Hubei province will not allow passengers to enter or exit the bus mid-trip.

Buses headed to places with medium risk levels are only allowed to fill half their available seats, and passengers must not sit next to each other.

Drivers must rest between 2:00 am and 5:00 am to avoid tiredness while driving, and video monitoring will be amped up in vehicles and on roads to help avoid safety hazards.
