Construction on stadiums for the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games resumed after a lengthy break caused by the epidemic, according to a news release by the organizing committee of the Asian Games on Feb 20.
Officials from the organizing committee said that construction has resumed on 28 of the 40 projects being built for the Hangzhou Asian Games.
Construction on the remainder of the projects is scheduled to restart in late February or early March, they said.
After the outbreak, the organizing committee of the Hangzhou Asian Games asked the construction companies in charge of the projects to take stringent measures to prevent and control the virus.
Challenges such as the provision of medical prevention supplies have been dealt with. The organizing committee is now working to make sure that construction can resume on the remaining stadiums as soon as possible.
During the outbreak, technical-related issues were all handled online.
Moving forward, the organizing committee will work with the construction companies to ensure that construction goes smoothly and workers remain safe.
