China Railway Shenyang Group Co Ltd in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China’s Liaoning province, has adopted a raft of measures to prevent the novel coronavirus moving by rail, as increasing number of passengers return to their workplaces, according to rail officials.
They said the company attached great importance to the disinfection and efficient ventilation on trains.
Officials said that after trains return, their interiors are subject to comprehensive disinfection under guidance of staff from the disease control department.
While trains are in service, stewards clean and disinfect seats, handrails, lavatories and other areas thoroughly and regularly.
In addition, waiting rooms and booking offices at railway stations are disinfected regularly and special dustbins for dumped masks have been installed.
Officials said that 39 disinfection groups comprising 82 CPC Party members have been established to disinfect more than 100 trains in Shenyang, to ensure passengers’ safety and health.
