East China city helps companies get back to work

The government of Xinyu city in East China's Jiangxi province has helped local enterprises smoothly resume production and operations by solving problems in areas such as raw materials, product transportation and employee commutes.

Taking Xinyu Iron & Steel Co as an example, the government coordinated with warehouse enterprises and upstream and downstream enterprises, which then returned to work to provide storage and raw fuel. The company is expected to produce about 680,000 tons of steel in February, about the same as last year.

The Xinyu High-tech Economic Development Zone, where a lithium battery new energy industrial park is based, has offered tenant companies protective supplies, including 60,000 masks and 1,200 bottles of disinfectant.

Among Xinyu's two pillar lithium battery enterprises that have restarted operations, Ganfeng Lithium Co has two production lines of lithium salts working at full capacity, one of which is in coordination with disinfectant production.

In addition, Xinyu is about to issue measures for newly-established mask manufacturers to start production rapidly, in a bid to win the battle against the novel coronavirus.
