A welcome letter to foreign nationals

Dear foreign friends:

Since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pneumonia (NCP), people from all walks of life have been working together to fight and control it. Thanks to our efforts, the situation in Yiwu is now stable, and we have begun focusing on reopening businesses and resuming production. To all foreigners who volunteered to participate in our campaigns and public service activities, made donations, or otherwise contributed to the battle against the epidemic, we offer our sincere gratitude.

On February 10, the China-Europe cargo train originating in Yiwu resumed normal operations, signaling the revival of our city which is normally bustling with economic activity. In addition, the Yiwu International Trade Market is preparing to open on February 18. With more and more enterprises resuming production, Yiwu will soon once again be filled with productive factories, busy streets, and crowded markets.

Yiwu is brimming with merchants, and we greatly value entrepreneurship. It's our duty to restore productivity as soon as possible to lessen the impact of the epidemic on the global small commodities supply chain. The Yiwu Municipal Party Committee and government highly appreciate the tremendous contributions made by our foreign friends. Therefore, we are taking solid pro-business measures and working to provide top-notch services. Rest assured that we are back on track. Welcome back to Yiwu, dear friends!

We are still committed to containing the spread of the virus, and we encourage all foreign nationals to step up self-protection efforts and cooperate with the community to ensure the success of the "One Person-One Card-One File" system. For those from highly affected areas, please cooperate with us on matters related to quarantine and medical observation.
