China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec), China's largest oil refiner, started selling vegetables at its 340 gas stations in Beijing to provide convenience to local residents.

People can order through the Easy Joy app by Sinopec to select a vegetable box that weighs around seven kilograms, including tomatoes, carrots, broccoli and eggs, which is expected to last three days for a family of three, according to Sinopec.

All vegetables are from premium vegetable production bases in the capital, including Xiaotangshan, one of the country's largest suburban agriculture parks, and the farm by Beijing Capital Agribusiness Group, it said.

Some 600 boxes of vegetables have been sold at all the gas stations so far, and the company said it is expecting to come up with more varieties of vegetables at the gas stations while covering more stations with vegetables, it said.
